PVC is a plastic based material that is light and faster to manufacture. Often poly welded together or adhered for a more affordable, faster, production. PVC is more susceptible to damage from UV, heat, solvents, and cleaners.

Hypalon is a CSM high-performance rubber based material that is hand prepared and glued during manufacture. Hypalon offers exceptional resistance to UV, abrasions, heat, chemicals, and colour fade. Due to the high tensile of the fabric, repairs are easily carried out and the lifespan on the tubes are far greater.

RIB tubes should be inflated to 2.5 PSI, which should be very firm to the touch, before each use. If you are unsure of how hard this should be, speak to our friendly team who can demonstrate on your vessel the correct inflation techniques.

Always wash your RIB with fresh water after each use, avoid harsh cleaning products, keep tubes properly inflated, isolation switches off during storage, and store the vessel out of direct sunlight where possible. Periodic professional servicing ensures any hidden issues are addressed early saving you time, money and stress.
